Local Search First enables same-day, in-store pickup without real-time inventory data.

Local Search First is the name for Shopatron's ground-breaking in-store pickup program, which revolutionized the way end consumers were able to receive their online purchases.

With Local Search First, when an end consumer places an online order, a preference is set for in-store pickup. Local inventory is searched first, but if local inventory is not available, the order is shipped to the customer.

How it Works

• Shopper places online order and selects "in-store pickup" at checkout
• Shopper does not choose a fulfillment location, as all nearby pickup locations will be checked
• If available locally, the order is assigned to a stocking retailer near the shopper. The shopper is notified within a few hours of placing the order
• If the order is not available locally, it is shipped to the customer from inventory available nationally

• Branded manufacturers with multiple retailers that would like to make in-store pickup the preference when real-time inventory information is not available or local pickup is not a possibility
