Authentication capabilties

Purchase limits

Email address authentication

To enter store, customer needs only to enter a valid, pre-registered email address.

Password authentication

To enter store, customer needs only to enter a valid password which has been pre-authorized.

Email address + Password authentication

To enter store, customer needs both a valid, pre-registered email address and a valid, pre-authorized password.

Shipping address restriction

Locked from first order

Once an authenticated customer has used a shipping address for the first order, this shipping address must be used for subsequent orders. Helps the VIP store limit purchasing to VIPs.

Locked by merchant/manufacturer

The merchant/manufacturer determines and pre-loads the validated shipping address for each authenticated customer.

Unlocked

The customer can use any shipping address for any order placed within the VIP store.

Customer Data

Secure storage and retrieval

Secure storage and retrieval of key customer data. If configured to be used in merchant's store: email address, password, locked shipping address, discount group, and activity information are stored.

Customer data can be maintained through a simple web interface, an upload/download spreadsheet wizard, and a Create User API.
