Business Development Manager

Position:

Shopatron is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Sales Team in San Luis Obispo, California.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for all sales activities within an assigned group of highly qualified sales leads. Selling activities include: demonstrating key benefits and features of Shopatron, drafting standard and customized project quotes, tracking progress throughout the sales cycle, reporting on sales activities, and providing weekly / monthly / annual updates against stated performance targets.

The right candidate should have a well-rounded background in effective sales strategy / methodology, possess an ability to work well within a fast-paced and evolving business environment, and have the drive and motivation to exceed against individual sales quotas and company objectives alike.

This position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales.

Responsibilities:
  • Consistently meeting and exceeding aggressive sales goals and overall stated objectives such as closing percentages and average contract values
  • Building a comprehensive map of the prospects’ potential areas of need, profiling the decision-making process, and uncovering internal agendas and timelines
  • Effective management of 50+ sales opportunities concurrently while upholding excellence in every aspect of the sales cycle without compromise
  • Accurately forecasting new contracts that will close on a monthly basis
  • Development of proposals and quotes across a range of services including eCommerce / Order Management, Online Marketing and Web site Development services
  • Leadership of demonstrations and discussions on Shopatron’s solution
Required Background:
  • 2-5 years experience selling technology or software-related products
  • Experience in leveraging proven sales strategies and pipeline management techniques to ensure a predictable stream of new accounts
  • Outstanding phone presentation and oral / written communication skills required
  • Self-driven and capable contributor who brings their very best to work each day
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage time responsibly
  • BA/BS degree, preferably with a concentration in Marketing/Sales or Technology

This is a full time position with a compensation package that includes salary, commission, and healthcare benefits. The position will be based out of Shopatron’s San Luis Obispo office.
