What is an affiliate program?

Affiliate programs allow website owners (referred to as “affiliates”) to promote businesses, products, services, events, etc. on their website through advertising and editorial promotion. When visitors to an affiliate’s website click on the advertisement or link and subsequently make a purchase on the advertisers website, the owner of the affiliate website makes a commission on the sale (commissions vary). Affiliate programs benefit affiliate site owners by providing a source of revenue, and they benefit the advertised business, product or service by making them more visible to their audience and driving more traffic to their website. Shopatron’s Affiliate Programs are supported by the Webgains and Google affiliate networks.

Who can join?

There are two ways to join Shopatron’s Affiliate Programs.

1. As an affiliate: Anyone with a qualified website can become an affiliate. Final approval is at the discretion of the affiliate network and advertiser. See details on how to join below under “I am an affiliate.”
2. As a merchant: Businesses, manufacturers and service providers wishing to promote themselves or their products can join affiliate networks as merchant advertisers. To join Shopatron’s Affiliate Programs as a merchant, you must be a Shopatron partner. I am an affiliate. How do I join?

Joining is easy! For details on each program, select your industry, network or region of interest to the left or view all available brands in our affiliate programs. Next, simply select the brand you want and then click Join Program. You will then be directed to the affiliate network’s sign-up page.

I am a Shopatron merchant partner. How do I join?

I am a merchant but I do not currently sell online with Shopatron. How do I join?

To join Shopatron’s Affiliate Programs as a merchant, you must be a Shopatron partner. I am a Shopatron Fulfillment Partner. How do I join?

If you have a website for your retail store, you can join Shopatron’s Affiliate Programs and help the brands you carry sell more! Not only do you make a commission on any sales referred by your website, you also convert your local website traffic into sales for the brands you carry—local sales you may ultimately fulfill.

Why am I getting charged an “affiliate network” fee on some of my orders?
When Shopatron fulfillment partners fulfill a sale that originated from an affiliate site, there are additional fees paid to the affiliate as a commission for generating the sale.
